Undergraduate Thesis

A series of monotypes using orbs to depict myself and the way I experience and process emotions. I have been exploring the use of non-rectangular paper and placement of the orbs to create the illusion of paper as a malleable surface that can be pushed and pulled by the compositions . Embossment has played a major role in my work to play with the idea of something having been versus something that once was. Embossing also aids in creating a physicality to an otherwise two dimensional process.
